Praise-apella headlines the Multi-cultural Praise Fest!
alvin frazier as apart of the group Praise-apella will be headlining the First Annual Multicultural Praise Fest to be held at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Saturday, July 21, 2007. The event will be the first of it's kind to be held at the venue. Other artists include, Jessica Ruiz & American Idol finalist: Scott Savol.
Night Town show update!
The date for alvin frazier's show at the world-renown Night Town has been confirmed. The artist will be appearing for one show only on Saturday August 11, 2007 at 9pm. Tickets will be $15. As a bonus alvin will be making an appearance at Seekers Coffeehouse on Friday August 10, 2007. Show time will be 8:30p with a $10 ticket price. See calendar for more details. alvin frazier to appear at Night Town!!!
alvin frazier will be taking "Love & Faith" to the stage once again at a venue not typically known for his style of music, the world-reknown Nighttown in Cleveland Heights, Ohio.
Nighttown is recognized the world over as one of the hottest places for traditional jazz music, however the well established venue has decided to mix things up a bit. The performance is expected to be awesome with alvin and his ensemble incorporating some of the jazz compositions he composed for his jazz group "joshua" into the show. A tentative date of Friday June 29th has been slated for the event. More details to follow.

Cleveland, OH – The question should be… can an up and coming independent “Christian” artist compete toe to toe with his gospel and secular counterparts by releasing an album that explores the connection of love & faith?
“Certainly, if the music, the writing and the production quality is on the level!” exclaims the artist in question Alvin Frazier as he prepares to release his debut CD “Love & Faith: Volume 1” on December 8, 2006.
When asked why he chose a project such as this for his first release, Alvin had this to say… “To be honest, I feel more like the project chose me. I can truly say that the Lord inspired me to do this because I viewed an album like this as being kind of edgy. I had never heard of a “Christian” album or any other album for that matter, refer to the opposite sex in terms of love for one another romantically speaking and still keeping it spiritually focused. I recognize it is a reality, however I hadn’t heard of it being done before in terms of Christian or Gospel music. “Love & Faith” doesn’t totally focus on man and woman, it basically covers relationships in general be it God and man, man and God, man and woman, family, friends and loved ones alike.”
For the past 6 months Alvin has been gradually gaining ground with listeners across the country via the web through his MySpace music page www.myspace.com/alvinfrazier. On the site listeners have a chance to hear four full selections from Alvin’s upcoming release therefore increasing his demand, fan base and online presence.
Since Alvin will initially release “Love & Faith” independently he anticipates taking a grassroots approach to marketing as well as traditional marketing i.e. word of mouth, radio, retail in the region and the internet. He plans to launch an official web site in the beginning of 2007 in which his current and future releases will be available for purchase.

Night Town
Hearing and seeing alvin frazier for the first time was an experience that I will never forget. I had no idea what to expect, but within minutes, I knew God sent me to the right place at the right time.
Every song was even more beautiful then the previous, taking me to a higher level of worship. Be it that alvin frazier is both a songwriter and musician, you can feel the lyrics through the music. With songs such as, “I Miss You”, “No Doubt” and my personal favorite, “Just the Way You Are”, Frazier's sincerity and anointing captivates the listener, urging them to fall deeper in love with God.
My experience got even better when Joshua, composed of Alvin Frazier, Derrick George and Elijah Gilmore, blessed the stage. Playing instrumental pieces, Joshua exposed me to another side of gospel music. By the end of the set, my spirit was convicted, and I'd made up my mind to praise God like never before.
alvin frazier's ministry is unique in that it takes traditional jazz and R & B music, blended with inspirational lyrics from the heart, and transforms it into a spiritual experience, proclaiming the gospel of Christ Jesus. It is my prayer that alvin frazier continues to bless not only the music industry, but the many souls searching for an answer.
It is truly an honor and a privilege to write, perform and produce music with Alvin Frazier. He is truly a rising entity in the music industry. I only expect the best when it comes to his music. Not to forget, he is also an incredible vocalist who does the most awesome vocal arranging! He is and will always be a part of my extended and musical family…
His CD “Love and Faith Vol. 1” is a must have. It is a lovely and moving project and it was a wonderful experience working with Alvin on “Just the Way You Are” If you are in love with “Love & Faith: Volume 1” all I can say is that I have had the distinct pleasure of hearing the demos slated for volume 2 and one word sums it up “Outstanding!” Please be sure to check out my debut solo CD Journey to Love, featuring Alvin and myself on the title track. This song has become a stable in my shows and is another example of Alvin's amazing gift for melody and musical composition!

There's no denying the Christian themes explored on Alvin Frazier's impressive debut effort "Love & Faith: Volume 1" ,but what separates this R&B album from others of its ilk is a modern feel. Songwriters are sometimes too bogged down with inspiring audiences with religious themes and intended messages, resulting in musical banality. A Light of Liberty Church leader, Frazier appears to be conscious of this paradox, going the extra mile to make sure the mid-tempo "Beautiful" lives up to its sensual title while "Recognize" employs a gregarious hip-hop vibe. Ultimately "Love & Faith: Volume 1" comes across more as an R&B album than a Christian release that uses modern sounds for relevancy in the new millennium. Grade: B+

The month before my wedding I was in Rainbow Family Bookstore, and I heard this music playing. I didn't know who was playing it, but I followed the sound because it was so beautiful. When I walked over to the cafe, I discovered it was Alvin Frazier. His music literally draws you in and makes you feel good. I found myself smiling and my spirit was in agreement with the melodious sounds that came from his guitar. When it comes to comparing Love & Faith with any other album or artist, you just can’t do it. I really enjoyed this album because I didn’t feel like I was hearing a hint of this gospel artist plus a splash of this R&B artist all wrapped up in a certain type of musical sound, which is simply unheard of in today’s market. This album is undeniably anointed, unique and versatile. It really has something for everyone.
As alvin frazier takes us on his spiritual journey from Star to his Closing prayer, you can hear the quality and the passion embedded in each song, and each song has its own special twist. By the end of Love & Faith, you feel as though your time and money has been well invested. alvin frazier has it together and the songwriting & production truly shines. This is an essential must-have in your music collection!
Recording artists who can play several musical instruments, write their own material and produce themselves are a rare find in this day and age. Listening to his debut project "Love & Faith: Vol 1" , Alvin Frazier thoroughly impressed me with his thoughtful lyrics, great music and amazing talent on this project. I recommend it to anyone who loves "real" soul music.
